I find these types of recipes are really a to taste and texture sort of thing. Like it without mayo? Cool. Try Greek yogurt and hold the vinegar if you still need creamy. Or just find a good vinegar and oil combo.
I feel like a great coleslaw dressing needs to be sweet, salty, and spicy. I find this hits all those notes.
Dressing
Whisk together
- 4 TBS mayonnaise
- 3 TBS apple cider vinegar
- 2 TBS Siricha Aioli *
- 1 TBS Sugar
- 1 TSP Penzey’s Northwoods Blend
- Salt & pepper to taste
remember the spice blend does have salt in it.
* if you don’t have Siracha Aioli try a little more mayo and as much siracha as you want.

Slaw
- 4 cups or one small head of grated cabbage
- 1 cup or 2 medium carrots grated carrots
- 1/4 cup or 4 large grated radishes
radishes are funny things, some stronger than others. This is just what I put in. Radish at your pace.
Toss the dressing and veggies together. I like to use a large lidded plastic bowl. Dump it all in and shake it up. It’s good right away, better the next day, and mixes strangely well with canned salmon.
