What’s the best way to deal with negative thoughts?

OOf my bundle of physical and psychological symptoms, my least favorite is intrusive thoughts. Things that dance unbidden in my psyche.

A self-flagellation symphony of horrors, anxieties, and miscues from deep in my consciousness. It goes without saying, my greatest struggle is with negative thoughts.

I have developed a simple flow chart. It may seem familiar, but no matter how the words are shared, it remains helpful.

Yeah, it is circular, but often, so are negative thoughts. I accept that I will never eradicate it. Such things can be a constant even if temporarily banished. But sooner or later, the thought will succumb to the process and finally be put on the ‘it can’t hurt you anymore’ shelf.
