What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?

There were many times in my life, some chronicled on this very blog, times that were quite overwhelming. I didn’t believe I could bear going on. Some worse than others but all unbearable in unique and terrible ways.

Whether heartbreak, failure, or even deep in those abysses I often fall into.

These events span sixty something years, but I wish I knew back then that it does get better.

Thinking it doesn’t can lead to rash decisions, fortunately none I ever took.

Like the good advice of ‘this too shall pass’, it does get better is equally well heeded.

Ultimately, the world spins on, we with it, baggage and all. Remember when you are on the concourse of life, next flight delayed, it gets better.
