My Words, My Game

Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?

I used to play, well into my forties. Now, I may dip into a video game, maybe once a month. I do write code for fun, but that is more like solving a puzzle. No, my fun now is crafting a story. Building a tree from a leaf is my play. The plots and machinations of a cast of thousands in my head.

My words dance, take chances, and grow insight. Subtext and foreshadowing are my tricks. Quests and end games, and not winning every game are my game companions.

A play on words. That is my game. And doesn’t matter if I win.
