Sometimes these prompts come through, and I write but never post answers, most too long and meandering and completed too late.
But this one is easy. Sure, I undertook a semi DIY kitchen remodel in the 90s and have lived through a bathroom remodel, but those were necessary items. After we lost our big house on the hill, we found a place in the old part of town with an amazing yard.
There I built my dream garden, green house and everything. It was a lot of work, and with my various ailments took nearly all spring to build with help from friends. But it is my favorite place in a big yard with lots of favorite places to hide.
All of it, not just the veggies have become filled with my planters and lawns and areas left wild. My gardens are a work in progress, forever changing and adapting. My DIY until I leave this world. What a wonderful project.
